Housing has a charcoal gray pebbled surface; rests on 4 rubber pads; front of machine is slanted and has a keyboard of 9 rows with 8 keys per row; keys are arranged so that there are 3 black keys, 3 white keys and 2 black keys per row; to right of key board are operating controls--silver lever for repeating a number, green correcting key, black bar adding and red bar for subtracting; at top of key board is a viewing port where numbers on a dial turn around so can see changes in the total, machine also designed to print on papter tape.
Marks: back of machine has lettering "Allen Wales Adding Machine Corp/Ithaca, New York/United States of America/Allen Wales" front of machine re[peates maker's name, but also has sericl number "9E66008"
