From a base with a hole at either end extends a curved arm from one end; at top of arm is spring-loaded lever attached to arm by a hinge pin which allows lever to move, which in turn pushes a rod upon which is attached one half of a metal die; directly below is the other half of die. There is a raised star on each side of the arm. Item was originally painted black with red and gold accents. Metal dies shw a circular seal surrounding a flag with words DUMONT POST NO. 18, DEPT. OF IND. G.A.R. SHELBYVILLE IND: MUSTERED JULY 28, 1882.Collection
