Piece of paper w/one edge having series of broken square holes where it was ripped from pad binding; both sides have watercolor painting, neither side is signed; completed side done in blues, browns, greens, appears to be a marshy area, either at sunrise or sunset, sun is not visible but upper sky is deep blue and clouds have reddish brown tinge; unfinished side is harbor scene in tan, blue, green, red and purple--water, sky, and point of land in background are finished, unfinished sections are right side, building boat and per; background, light house on point of land; foreground, 2 male figures and pier they are on.
Harry G. "Tom" Query was born in Shelby County
although unsigned work is attributed to Query because it was found with other pieces signed by him which has a nautical or tropical theme.
