Box has blue leather-like cover with gold trim and words "Air Medal"; medal is dark bronze color, 16-pointed sunburst shape, at center is a diving eagle with a lightning bolt in each talon, top point of burst has a fleur-de-lis and through this is a ring attached to the blue, orange, blue, orange, blue ribbon. There is also a matching award ribbon; also in box are 6 bronze oak leaves and 3 bronze stars. Used by Lawrence Dismore Air Medal awarded to Army Air Force personnel after flying a set number of combat missions; clusters depict additonal awards; donor did receive additional awards but said not enough to warrant all clusters in box.Collection
