Black wool navy pants and jumper worn by Joseph E. Peter’s in WWII, his rank being Gunners Mate, 2nd class. A. Jumper has colorful decorative stitching on upper inside lining. This lining lies loosely, except where stitched down on top and bottom so the decorative stitching must have been on the lining before the lining was sewn on the garment. The metal ribbons represent special achievements, awards and length of service. The patch on left shoulder denotes naval petty officer, 1st class rating. B. Pants have bell bottoms and 12 black buttons on flap for fly opening.Collection
