B&W negative image; subject is older couple, man on left and woman on right; man wearing 3 piece suit with coat buttoned only at top button, part of watch chain visible against vest, appears to have full head of hair plus long, wispy chin whiskers, holding both arms straight at sides; woman has on dark skirt and light top with some sort of bow at collar, hair parted in middle appears to be put up in a bun, right arm straight down and left arm behind her; outside shot, no foliage, appear to be in a grape arbor or other type of trellis construction.
Series of glass plate negatives were found in an old house the donor's bought; plates were in 2 boxes from the M. A. Seed dry plat company; one box had a note attached reading Dr. Gus Billman Estate, died 1954. ****Print made from glass-plate neg 08/2004, 4 x 5", stored in 5 x 7 Drawer.
