B&W negative image; subject is male; he is reclining on his left side on an upholstered fainting couch or day bed; he is wearing trousers and a vest shirt sleeves have been rolled up to elbow; has thick hair roached up away from forehead, also a mustache; holding a rolled up paper in right hand left hand holding pillow, does have a ring on 3rd finger of left hand; part of a fern visible in right foreground; interior shot; very dark negative. Series of glass plate negatives were found in an old house the donor's bought; plates were in 2 boxes from the M. A. Seed dry plat company; one box had a note attached reading Dr. Gus Billman Estate, died 1954. ****Print made from neg 08/2004, 4 x 5", stored in 5 x 7 Drawer.
