Donation, 07/26/2005. Black and white glossy photographic print in landscape format. On back: "Peanut Alec Pierson in middle died 1916/Cooper on left Jones on right/Peanut Alec with two of his numerous friends." From Marian McFadden's "Biography of a Town": Peanut Alex was born Barney Pearson in 1851 in slavery. In 1891 he opened a peanut stand on the S.E. corner of Public Square and Washington St. He died in Oct., 1916 and is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville, Indiana. See "Notes"
