Image is of a baby in long white dress which has lace edging on bottom with row of tucks above, then a lace insert, then 5 more rows of alternating tucks and inserts; large collar drapes over shoulders and down front of garment, baby also wearing a necklace, a bracelet on right wrist and a ring on third finger of right hand; sitting on a piece of studio furniture that is draped with what appears to be a coverlet. Back of mount is inscribed in ink: "Lydia Ruth Philipy/Age 8 mon./1905". Lydia was the daughter of William H. Philipy who was postmaster in Morristown during the early 1900's; mother was Gertrude Wrenick.
