Device for removing cherry pitts. Underneath or bottom most part shaped like a "C" Clamp with a threaded rod to secure tool to a board or work surface from the bottom; just above "C" clamp part is a horizontal tray which has upturned sides and two grooves in bottom; tray slopes and near where it connects with rest of tool are two holes; other side of holes is blook of wood and a vertical piece of sheet iron; behind iron is a twin pronge curved device that goes up over and through sheet iron down onto holes is groove. Underside of holding tray stamped "GOODELE CO, ANTRM N. H" (unsure about exact spelling of company as very difficult to read.
Had old collection number 245 and records for it read: "Cherry seeder used in 1889. Given by L. E. Justus. Morristown Indiana. April 14, 1939, also an old lock.Collection
