Rectangular in shape all wood construction; forward curving handle behind the throat; 3 mtal rivets through the stock from side to side one behind the handle; 1 in front of handle , 1 at very front.
New sole has been peeged on; dry rot on top, front; wood split in several places; strike button missiong; handle renailed; few flecks of white paint on bottom; smear of red on handle and tag inside of plane; iron and cap frozen and will not come apart.
1st mark; metal tag on side of stock "COMSTOCK & COONSE/INDIANAPOLIS, IND." 2ND MARK ON iRON "OHIO TOOL CO/CAST STEEL/WARRENTED.
