Description

Projectile Point - Lost Lake point characteristics - similar to the Thebes point. Resharpening accomplished by left hand beveling. Point exhibits deep corner notches which curve upward into the interior. Points differ from Thebes in that the base is slightly bifurcated. Color - tan, lighter towards point than base. Lost Lake points are the products of a subculture of the Early Archaic cultures. Point Found in Collection glued to a board with a note saying it was found in Shelby County and donated by M/M Harry C. Morrison References: Projectile Points and Their Chronology: Noel D.
