Description

Projectile Point/Snyders point/broad blade/wide corner notches/exhibits large Flake scars on blade/Color gray banded chert with white bands/Snyder's points are diagnostic of the Middle Woodland Period. Point Found in Collection on a board with a note saying that it was found in Shelby County and donated by M/M Harry C. Morrison. This point exhibits Snyders point characteristics but is smaller than the normal Snyders point and shows no evidence of resharpening. References: Projectile Points and Their Chronology" Noel D. Justice p. 19 In 2000, Teresa Putty, Paleontologist, dated this artifact as Woodland Period, 1000 BC - 800 AD
