Projectile Point - McWhinney Heavy Stemmed have wide range of forms; this example is crudely side notched and exhibits part of the cortex of original surface near the base; both are characteristics of McWhinney points.
Color - gray with blue bands running lengthwise; also tan or brown at the spot of the original surface. McWhinney ponts are diagnostic of the Maple Creek subculture of the Late Archaic Period.
