Description

Projectile Points. Kirk Stemmed. Characterized by a long narrow blade sometimes thick (A & B). Deep serration is common and present in "B" & "C" especially . The stem is slightly expanding and produced from a corner notching technique. These points again represent the variety of Kirk Points. Kirk Stemmed Points are diagnostic of the "Palmer/Kirk" phase of the Early Archaic Period. Reference: "Stone Age Spear & Arrow Points", Noel D. Justice, p. 82.
