Description

Projectile Point - Karnak Unstemmed; thick lanceolate Form; Flaking on this example appears to be somewhat refined. Color- pinkish to light red. Karnak Points are diagnostic of the Green River subculture of the Late Archaic Period. Point Found in Collection on a board with a note saying that it was found in Shelby County and donated by M/M Harry C. Morrison. Karnak unstemmed points were used as preforms for Karnak stemmed points as well as for tools themselves. References: Projectile Points and Their Chronology" Noel D. Justice p. 12
