Point, Projectile

Name/Title

Point, Projectile

Description

Projectile Points. Hamilton Incurvate? These points seem to be a variation of the Hamilton Incurvate type due to their excurvate bases. However, I cannot be sure because all have been broken and the tip could be important in determining the type. A & B show further evidence for being Hamilton points in that both have fine serration on the blade edges. Hamilton Incurvate points are diagnostic of the Late Woodland Hamilton culture. See also 88.1.49. *****In 2000, Teresa Putty, Paleontologist, date these artifacts as "Mississippian".
