Projectile Point - Adena Stemmed, also known as "Beaver-tail" points because of the rounded stem. This example displays weak corner notches and also cortex on the edge of the stem, both are characteristic of these points. Color - white to tan around the edges. Adena stemmed points are diagnostic of the Adena culture of the Early Woodland Period and are found both as ceremonial grave offerings and as utilized tools.
