b&w carte d'viste; subject is head ans shoulders portrait of a woman in an oval format; body square to camera but het turned slightly to subject's right; dark hair pulled back from face and piled in high bun at the crown may be dark hair bow on right side of head; light colored eyes; small dark earring; dark outer garment has dark lace trim on collar also earring dark and light lace around neck and a bar pin on top of this lace; also metal chain around neck tied in knot just above bosom. Back of mount is printed :"G. Weingarth, Shelbyville, Ind. Back of mount inscribed "McCauly"Collection
