He is looking off to the side and not at the camers, in his right hand is a cigar and on his left arm that looks like a heart with a cross on it.

Special function: a note came with the picture and it reads: Bible This Bible was given to Arlan Brown by Mrs. J>H>Mohr 1909. Arlan Brown was a ward of the Shelby County Home. Our first boy to enter the first world war. An was killed in action and was buried foreign fields. When the workers were tearing down the childrens home, this bible was found on the walls of the building.Collection
