A base of cast iron on three legs and a spout. Legs are drilled so press can be secured to work surface. Ther is a threaded rod extending from center of base piece. Next piece is tube of sheet iron that fits on the base piece. Indide sheet iron tube sheet iron strainer that has been tinned. Cast iron pressure plate has disc shaped surface and vertical extension. It fits over threaded rod and inside strainer section. Last piece is a cast iron cross bar that screws down on threaded rod and making pressure.
Pressure plate has a series of numbers stamped in it but only part readable is "1919" Threaded cross bar also has an "8" stamped in it
Unsure if this is a lard press or some other type of food press. Does not have general shape of a lard press..Collection
