Three piece unit. Base is open ring with four short legs. Legs drilled so press can be secured to work surface. There is a dip in ring to accomodate flow spout from bucket. Attached to ring is bow shaped top piece which has two cog gears and a worm screw for pushing pressure plate into bucket. Bow piece is on legs one of which rotates on base, other leg secures to base by means of a sickle shaped lock. Bucket peice set on top of ring base betwee legs of low piece. It is lcast iron and has flow spout cast into bottom.
Bow shaped top piece reads: National Specialty Mf'g Co Phila. PA. USA" leg supports for bow piece also marked "8" "QT" opposite side bow piece has patent date "Patented Sep. 14 1897"
Additional marks: pressure plate is marked "Large/Plate" and "8"QT" bottome of bucket piece is marked "2".Collection
