Black and white of a young woman; dressed in short black lace gown with a full over skirt; made with small strapes over the shoulders; trimmed with ostrich feathers; has opaque stockings and ribbon tied ballet slippers; the bodice comes to a point in the front; there are sequins on the bodice and the skirt; on her head is a tight fitting cap with a lace fan effect around the head; hair is short and bobbed. One corner of print is marked "Daguerre Studio/Chicago" Harry Smith traveled with the Chautauqua and this is something he saved. paper
