Wood cabinet in 3 sections; bottom is 4 turned legs w/stretcher between front and back legs and cross piece between stretcher, next section has burl front w/oval opening in center and decorative wood piece in center of oval to protect gold color cloth covering speaker, also an applied carving on skirt just below opening; top section is narrower; has burl front and 3 wood knobs, above center knob is ornate metal plate covering wheel type tuning dial; has on-off toggle switch on side; back is open. 2 makers plates in back; one marked "Majestical Electric Receiver/Model 71/Design patent Pending/ Grigsby-Grunow Company Chicago USA" other plate repeats dates but adds serial number "7A336855"
