Radio originally purchased by Alma Newcomb (Donor's grandmother) in 1932. This radio is designed to operated on a Delco Light System taht used a kerosene operated generator to charge 16 two volt batteries thus creating a 32 volt system. Newcomb had the Delco Light System installed in her farm house through Everett Ricketts of Shelbyville who sold the sytem. The radio has a noise eliminator that cut spark noise while generator was running. Newcomb played radio only when generator was running and only very rarely on other occasions. Donor said one of his favorite programs to listen to on this radio was 'Lum and Abner'Collection
