Black and white snapshot; depicts 2 story farm house of light colored bricks; long porch across front supported by 4 pillars, there is a peak in the mioddle of th porch roof; lower floor has centrally located front door and 2 windows, there are 3 windows in 2nd story; chimney on each end of building; 2 small trees and lawn chair in yard. top margin is printed "June 1957" Back inscribed in pencil, "Home of Raymond Hatton/Noble Twp/Waldron?Ind/U.S.to/Alexander?Van Pelt-Oct 1, 1820/Jan 22, 1821/Arthur Major. Dec. 1831" Note with print stated that originally though this was the Arthur Major Mansion but turns out can't be; this house is in section 6, Major built somewhere in Section 8. Found in collecftion
