Black and white glossy photographic print; group of men standing on flat bed truck in front of railroad car, there are 7 men in the group, all wearing hats; 2 in middle have light shirts and ties; one man is shirtless; there are three courses of sacks on the truck; in foreground is man in bib overalls and straw hat, has left hand on hip and right hand is holding a corn stalk; man is leaning against a Lincoln automobile; sign in car's back window reads: "RUHM'S-LINCOLN/ and SHELBY CO. CORN, THE VERY FINEST". According to donor this picture was taken in 1948 with a ca. 1912 Brownie box camera by Mrs. J. T. Murphy when the Ruhm's phosphate Indiana Train stopped in Shelby County. Donor further identified the men as left to right: Oscar Smith, Charles E. Adam, David Smith, Sumner Terry, Rex Conover, Ival Coy, Al Schoentrup, Jr. and J. T. Murphy in the foreground.
