Aluminum device; flat bottom; 3 sided, one side has convex surface other 2 sides are flat but taper together to form a point similar to a triangle; riveted to one flat side and to the convex side are 2 brackets (one to a side) which support heavy guage wire bails that fit over and secure the lid; another open bracket is riveted on convex side where pot lifting handle can grasp it; lids have same shape & designed to fit inside pots not just sit on top, have recessed surface w/raised bracket handle. Bottom stamped w/outline of a shield shape & lettering inside "The Chambers Fireless Gas Range/Cooks With the gas turned Off." and below the outline "Chambers Mfg Co./Shelbyville, IN." These pots for food cooking were designed to use with the Chambers Firelss Cooker. Subnumbered 1989.022.002 A & B
