Stamped metal rod with two rows of graduated numbers form 10 to 800; two hooks on rod which are off center; hiil on top was to han up scale and bottom hook was to support object to be weighed; the metal rod is curved on one end and tapered at the other. Tapered end has a hole pluched in ti. Weight with scale is bell shaped and weighs between 25 and 35 lbs. The weight is 18" highincluding the attaching hook x 5 3/4" diameter across base. Donor believes scales were used on his grandfather's farm in Shelby Township to weigh sides of beef after butchering.
