Most unusual piece; could not identify material made from; center section is 21 3/4"x 16 1/2" and it is put together in 4 triangular pieces composed of open chain stitch which are arronged to form diamond patterns; around edge of center section is row of open loops made farom several strands of the same yarn; then another area of chain stitch diamonds, another row of loops, another area of chain stitching, another row of loops then the forder which is made of a combination of chain stitch, loops and fringe hanging from the loops; material made from has lot of stretch; ivory color
Special Function: originally owned by donor's paternal grandmother who lived in St. Paul; donor remembers seeing it on a library table, but didn't know anything else except that is is unusual.Use
