Notecard paper with handwritten note by Mildred Scott dated July 6, 1989. A description of the two footstools (2002.059.001AB) made by her grandparents. "Stools are over 100 yrs. old. They were/made by my maternal grandparents./ My grandmother did the petit point &/bead work- --grandfather made the stools./He died 81 yrs. ago, the day my brother Ruben/was born-March 26, 1908. He was 65 yrs./old at his death. My grandmother died in 1915 at age 65 when I was 9 yrs. old/so the stools are very old. I would say/ 110 yrs. old. My mother was 34 yrs. old in 1915/ & my grandmother lived with us some/months before her death./Mildred Scott/July 6, 1989/Born April 29, 1906" Donation.
