Tool consists of 4 main parts; has right & left casting, secured by 3 nuts & bolts and one tension adjustable spring; inside consists of a solid wheel w/7 rows of teeth arranged in circles, the teeth are spaced to form alternation pattern; has a twice bent crank with wood handle; inside wheel lettered "Made By A.H. Patch, Inc., Clarksville, Tenn/Black Hawk Corn Sheller/ R 22/ made in USA" This side also has info under marks plus cross member at crank it reads "1903A"
Several raised letter sections on tool. One area on cylinder reads "BLACK HAWK Trademark Registered"

Donor found in grandfather's barn' unsure of nature of operation suspect 2 keyhole shape slots on crank side casting slipper over pegs etc. on a cross member w/cylinder section at bottom but not positive.Collection
