Description

Slot head screwdriver w/wood handle which is flat w/a wide butt end; blade is 15/16" wide at the collar then tapers, then widens and tapers again to a point; close examination of the blade reveals it was a file at one time. One side of blade just before tang is stamped "W BUTCHER" other side is stamped 'IMPERIAL". Ira Isley was blacksmith at Mt. Auburn. IN and according to donor he made this screwdriver from worn out file and used in his shop. See also Neg. N-689
