Black shiny, sateen type fabric 2 piece outfit, worn by Mildred Mc Crea for graduation in June 1929. The top is black with gold colored lining to the waist and turquoise trim on the collar. There are 3 black cloth covered buttons on each side of the collar points, sewn in diagonal fashion. There are 3 larger buttons for closure in the front. The top button fabric has rubbed off; the other 2 buttons are intact with the fabric covering. At the waist 4” lengthwise from the bottom button, the fabric is gathered for a length of 7”, then a button, then a braided grosgrain ribbon attached, running for 6”, a button and more gathering for a length of 7”, up to 4” from the right side of the garment. This top is labeled B. The skirt is of the same black shiny fabric and has no decoration. It is long and elastic at the waist. It is labeled A.Collection
