A soil survey publication, titled: Soil Survey of/Sheby County, Indiana. Middle of front cover shows a black and white photograph of a tilled farm field. Below this is smaller print which reads: Issued March 1974. Left inside cover has narrative with title: HOW TO USE THIS SOIL SURVEY. Right inside cover has a table of contents. The first half of the book has numbered pages up to p. 92. The second half of the book contains half-fold sheets of the topographical and soil type of each of Shelby County's 14 townships. The last page of the book has the half-fold sheet with the 14 townships on the left outside fold; the maps scale and title: INDEX TO MAP SHEETS/SHELBY COUNTY, INDIANA, and the "North" directional arrow.
