Steel rod tapers to a point; surface of rod has very fine grooves running lengthwise; at base of rod is a diamond shaped hilt or guard that screws onto a wood handle; handle is pendant shaped being bigger at base than top; butt of handle has a screw to which is attached a hook & stirrup.
Base of rod stamped with a bell that has a "H" on it and below bell is "Hoffman"
