Black and white glass-plate negative in landscape format. Two adult women and one adult male standing near a wheat shock; woman on left of image has hair put up, wearing a flat hat, blouse has 3/4 length bell sleeves and 2 or 3 ruffles across the bodice, may have a corsage and appers to be wearingsomething on arms but can't tell details; man is standing behind the shock, only part visible are head and shoulders, appears to be wearing a vest and a straw hat, does have a mustache; woman on right side of image is leaning against the shock with right hand brought up to face, has a wide brim flat hat, long sleeves, collar is wide and appears to have a pin where front of collar joins; background is a board fence with part of horse drawn surrey visible. Donation, 04/1987.
Series of glass-plate negatives were found in an old house the donor's bought; plates were in 2 boxes from the M. A. Seed Dry Plate Company; one box had a note attached reading Dr. Gus Billman Estate, died 1954.Collection
