3 tines appear to be one piece construction with shank being covered by a metal housing that secures it to the wood handle, this metal housing has 2 brace like extensions which are riveted to front and back side of the handle; handle is wood and curves where it fits into metal housing for tines; rest of handle is straignt and tapers slightly towards upped end of handle;
