Tool, Blacksmith'sDescription
Sits up on a beam that measures 7 1/2 in x 5 /12 in x 22 3/4 in long. Mounted on 4 legs. A handle that is slightly curved and when pushed down causes a top blade to come down against the bottom blade. Handle is in between two other pieces of metal so that it can only go up so far.References: Mr Bogeman made this to put points on cultivator tips. After being used for awhile a tip would become rounded and used this to put the sharp edge back on instead of taking it to the anvil, pounding it out and then putting a finiahsed edge by hand.
Special Function: Mr. Bogeman was born July 30, 1895 and started smithing at age 16 as an apprentice for John Miller. Mr. Bogeman died Jan. 22, 1988.Use
