a flat piece on metal with 5 grooves all different depthes running across piece, on the back side is a square 3/4" x 3/4" rod sticking out the back that's 2 1/2" long. used to make toe to weld on the race horse shoe so thay could move on ice. Mr. Bogeman called this item a swege, not sure of spelling
