The tool has two wooden handles attached to a metal blade by flattened metal tines; at base of both handles are brass rings, one 3/4" width, other is 3/8" wide; metal blade tapers to an edge; metal blade curves downward from the widest edge; handles attached at thickest part of blade. Stamped top center one side most staping is illegible, first line unreadable; second line appears to have two names thne second of which is Smith; third line unreadable. This tool is part of a collection of six tools probably used by Thomas Clarke of Jackson Twp. Shelby Co from 1832-1889Collection
