Toy gun, wooden stock with yellow eagle on butt. Lock, plate, trigger and triggerring guard appear to be iron, held in poace by brass tacks. Two thin brass rings hold a paper tube muzzle in place. Gray paper muzzle, hole drilled in butt plate and 3/4 quater moon shape piece of metal covers part of hole. "The Harmless Gun" in on a paper label imder stock. May have been a mechanical toy, a string comes out from drilled hole under side of butt. String attached to something inside muzzle. Pulling string probably cocked a devise for making pop gun soundCollection
