Black tender car with Lionel Lines lettered on white on either side, this is a raised section 4 1/4 x 1 1/8 simulated coal, a ladder goes down back of car, steps and doors on front. Two screw top openings and rectangular bulkhead near back. A set of four wheels. Back truck has modern coupling device; front truck has a slotted metal strip; wires lead fron both trucks to inside tender. Where a whistle unit is located Car is HO gauge. Small plaque near front left side printedd 'Built By Lionel' No. 602W on box end. Car in original box 1983.030.002A has corrugated cardboard liner.Collection
