Early electric typewriter; housing appears to be cast steel with a black textured paint surface; sits on 4 rubber cushioned feet; has a vertical panel at top of keyboard and on pane is a red lightning bolt and in gold letters "Electromatic"; key board has round keys with black or dark naby blue round plastic surface and white letters, control keys are larger, have red plastic surfaces with yellow lettering; at front of machine near the left shift key is small brass colored lever that acts as the on-off switch.
Marks: maker's tag on underside reads "Commercial Control Corp/Governor Controlled Motor/Rochester, N.Y./Made in U.S.A." cut into steel housing near right ribbon spool is serial number "128725".
