Description

Black and white cabinet print on an ivory mount. Unidentified female child, hair pulled back, wearing a white dress with a bow collar, dress has long sleeves, bodice appears to be caped by a lace shawl, skirt appears to be eyelet with a scalloped hem, dark lowcut shoes, white stockings, a bracelet on each wrist, a pendant necklace, seated on the arm of an ornate upholstered bench, left arm resting on left knee, right arm resting on back of bench. Bottom of mount is printed: Goodrich, Shelbyville, Ind. Found in a suticase the donor's son purchased at an estate sale in the Morrisown area several years prior to donation. Donation, 07/31/1982.
