Black and white photographic print in landscape format made 12/2005 from a glass-plate negative. Subject is a male, seated outdoors with building behind him and foliage on both sides of him. His hair is dark and parted in the middle.
He has a mustache and is hold the stub of a cigar in the right corner of his mouth. Wearing a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, a medium-color necktie, a dark vest. A watch fob can be seen on the front of his vest. Also wearing dark trousers. Hands are clasped in his lap. There is a length of fabric draped around his shoulders.
From a series of glass-plate negatives that were found in an old house the donor's bought. The negatives were in two boxes from the M. A. Seed Dry Plate Company. One box had a note attached reading: "Dr. Gus Billman Estate, died 1954."Collection
