Subject is female; has hair done up on top of her head; wearing blouse that has eyelet lace or embroidery panels on front; short stand-up collar with dark bow at neck; right hand in lap and looks as if caught in act of raising left hand to head; to her right and at a lower level is another woman who is holding her right hand over her mouth; photographed outside; full foliage; appear to be in a grape arbor. Donation, 04/1985.
Series of glass-plate negatives were found in an old house the donor's bought; plates were in two boxes from the M. A. Seed Dry Plate Company; one box had a note attached reading "Dr. Gus Billman Estate, died 1954"Collection
