Black and white photographic print in landscape format made 12/2005 from glass-plate negative. Image is of a woman. Her hair is done up on top of her head and parted on the left. She is wearing a blouse that has eyelet lace or embroidery panels on the front and a short stand-up collar with a dark bow at neck. Her left hand is reaching for her left ear. To her right and at a lower level is another woman who is holding her right hand over her mouth. Photographed outside, in full foliage, appears to be near a grape arbor.
From a series of glass-plate negatives that were found in an old house that the donors bought. The plates were in two boxes from the M. A. Seed Dry Plate Company. One box had a note attached reading: "Dr. Gus Billman Estate, died 1954."Collection
