Catre de visite of Artemas Ward; image from waist up, body square to camera, but has his head turned to his right; very curly dark hair, parted on left and combed over, covers most of ear, long walrus type mustache; very prominent nose; wearing dark double breasted coat with self covered buttons; coat is open, shows vest is a check pattern and appears to be double breasted with lapels, double watch chain at botton let of vest; striped tie is similar to an ascot; pants appear lighter shade than coat. Back is printed "E. & H.T. Anthony, New York from Photographic Negative in Brady's National Portrait Gallery".Collection
