Description

A tin and wood object; tin part similar to a round canteen except where drinking spout should be is a metal extension 3 1/2" long which is attached to a wooden pole handle. At center of round tin portion is a raised point which is threaded and has a screw on cap; all joins of metal work are soldered and the handle appears to be secured by only a round headed nail. Screw off lid is marked with several run on initials; can't quite make it out but appears to be'EVWB' Old collection card reads: "Bed Warmer - filled with hotwater and placed in beds to warm them. Owner was Mrs. Peter Smucker, Mrs. Lew Webb's grandmother. Found in the attic and presented by Mrs. Marsh Wilson. (Preserved by Mrs. H.C. Morrison
